Simão Costa (1979 Lisboa), pianiste et compositeur, artiste multimédia. SOUND est l’objet principal de son art, basé sur la recherche de possibilités et de dimensions du son en tant que phénomène. C’est-à-dire ses capacités musicales, phénoménologiques, perceptives, visuelles, culturelles, etc., explorant le potentiel cinétique, mécanique et robotique en considérant le son comme un matériau plastique, tangible et physique.
Depuis 2004, il développe sa carrière d’auteur (composition, improvisation, code, expositions / installations, cintrage de circuits, sonorisation de données) en solo et en collaboration avec d’autres musiciens, plasticiens, interprètes, acteurs, metteurs en scène, danseurs et chorégraphes.
En tant que pianiste, il a fait des tournées sur les scènes nationales et internationales. Simão Costa est un artiste aux multiples facettes par définition.
Il travaille en solo d’une part [“π_ano PRÉ CAUTION SUR COURT CIRCUIT”, de SHHpuma Records], expositions / installations [Galerie Mute en 2015, Silence and Synesthesia et 2018 Null Allele and Frequency]. D’autre part en partenariat pour cultiver l’art dans des collectifs tels que «SAS Orkestra de Radios» avec Sónia Moreira et Ana Trincão, des créations sur scène avec la chorégraphe Yola Pinto, des collections d’installations et des spectacles de danse «Danse de matériaux inertes» avec Marta Cerqueira ou divers partenariats avec l’artiste multidisciplinaire João Calixto.
Il est membre fondateur et directeur artistique de MãoSimMão – association culturelle où il dirige et produit certains de ses projets.
On peut trouver son travail sur scène, album / disque, code, galerie, musée, rue, livre, touchant diverses expressions de la musique contemporaine et des arts visuels.
Exposer individuellement et collectivement depuis 2007.
Son travail a été présenté au Portugal, en Espagne, en France, en Belgique, en Pologne, aux Pays-Bas, au Royaume-Uni, en Italie, en Suède, en Autriche, en Estonie, en Roumanie, au Brésil, au Chili et en Uruguay.

He is a founding member and artistic director of MãoSimMão – cultural association where he directs and produces some of his projects.
